How do I connect my Stripe account?
What is Stripe?
Stripe is our chosen online payment processor, enabling us to help sports venues take payments quickly, easily and securely, online.
If you do not already have an existing Stripe account, you will need to make one in order to process payments for your bookings.
How to set up a new Stripe account
If you do not currently have a Stripe account you can do so directly through your Bookteq account.
To set up your Stripe account, click on ‘Venue Settings’ from the Setup menu and select ‘Integrations’. Click on the “Connect your Stripe Account” button where you’ll be directed to https://dashboard.stripe.com/register.
Once here, simply follow the instructions to create an account.
- Enter your details: Provide your email address, full name, and create a password.
- Verify your email: Check your email for a verification link and click it.
- Provide business information: This includes your business's address, industry, and website (or social media profile URL).
- Enter bank details: Provide your bank account information for payouts.
- Set up two-step authentication: This adds an extra layer of security to your account.
- Activate your account: Once these steps are complete, your account will be activated, and you can start accepting payments.
- Test your account: You can use Stripe in test mode to simulate transactions and explore its features without using real money.
- Start accepting live payments: Once you're ready, you can activate live mode to start accepting real payments.
